Permanent Public Art Installation
Mobile Sculpture
Stainless Steel, Steel Wire, Hooks
6m x 12m x 25m

The mobile sculpture is made from over-dimensional leaves in stainless steel that are suspended from the atrium’s glass roof down into the heart of the shopping mall’s courtyard. The leaves’ sizes vary from 80 cm diameter to 150 cm diameter. All elements are made from stainless steel and are individually bent by hand.

The atrium space of the shopping mall connects the outside – a roof garden – with its commercial inside. The installation brings the nature into the interior space. It seems as if the wind has just blown in some leaves from the trees on the roof into the inner courtyard. The leaves are whirling in eddies of wind taken inside by a breeze.

The mirror-like material catches different lights and colours from its surrounding – reflecting a kaleidoscope of fragmented images and light into the space. Yet, create the leaves a serene cosmos of nature, inviting the audience to enjoy the nature scenario.

The artwork is inspired by a poem by Xu Zhimo, March 1925

Fallen Leaves’ Song
“Leaves are dancing in the courtyard, again and again”
The installation “Dandelion” brings an inspiring and uplifting nature scenario to the Olympian city – Dandelions’ puffy seeds are innocent vagabonds of the wind.

The dandelions come into full bloom with the graceful interplay of light, shadow and reflection. The reflective stainless steel flowers introduce a glimpse of an enlivening summer breeze to the site, stimulating the audience to let their minds wander as the seed buds do –Dandelions travel to wherever they are blown to, growing new roots to start life again.

Logo and Business Cards

This client is a photographer specializing in lifestyle portraits. She wanted to develop her previous logo from a drawn butterfly with Chinese ink and chop style logo to something more contemporary but keeping the butterfly as a symbol to keep her business in line with her story.

The paper kite is a butterfly but can be a paper kite at the same time. The new logo combines the two meanings in a little playful story where an abstract paper kite transforms into a butterfly – reflecting the client’s playful and unique, but at the same time sophisticated approach to her work. The new logo consists out of the abstract butterfly combined with a slim and elegant word mark of the client’s name and highlighted profession.
An exhibition of and about chocolate

Cornelia Erdmann (Hong Kong/ Germany) and Brendan Goh (Singapore) create impressions of flavour, image and memory out of the sweet delicacy, bringing a sense of wonder to the everyday activity of eating through engaging the senses.

Food and art are usually categorised as separate things. This exhibition, however, invites you to re-imagine the possibilities that exist between the two. Consuming something, in this case whether art or food, is about feeding the body and mind, but why not do both at the same time? Through this process, one can experience art with different senses—sight, smell, taste, touch and sound, and indulge but also reflect about issues of eating and living as one sees, tastes, consumes and finally expels art.

Featured in this show will be edible artworks as well as a dinner for 12 persons on Saturday, 15th of January with and by the artists, with prior reservation only.
Where is the metropolitan equivalent of Paradise, and why can’t it ever be found? In TV, why is there always a dead end when people try to escape from evil villains? Why should sex under a bridge be considered an aesthetic experience – same as queueing?

On Marginal Space: Artefacts of the Mundane is a collection of eight photo-cum-text essays, and one conclusive theoretical contemplation investigating the idiosyncrasies of usually neglected urban spaces: the roundabout, the dead end, the space under bridges and others more. Each essay has at its core one particular typology of marginal space, which is visually explored, and textually related to other, non-architectural walks of life, resulting in casual meditations on the seemingly insignificant nooks and crannies of the spatial network that is our cities.
